Barefoot Resort, North Myrtle Beach

The best thing I like about Barefoot Resort & Golf is Its my home! That's right I live here and own several investment properties here also. Barefoot Resort is a relatively new (Circa 2000) community. I have watched it grow and it is still growing. The resort is located in the North Myrtle Beach just off highway 17 across the Intracoastal Waterway from Barefoot Landing. Once you cross the swing bridge on Barefoot Resort Bridge Road you drive into a unique style of living. Before we go onto the resort, you should know that is only about three miles to the Atlantic Ocean. For most of the property owners there is a private oceanfront beach cabana (Virtual Tour) for their use. The resort has its own fire and police station. There are two great golf course clubhouses on the resort. The Dye clubhouse sits in the gated community of the Dye Estates and has a wonderful golf course designed by the renowned Pete Dye. 

I am a little more than partial to the Barefoot Clubhouse which sits among three of the finest golf courses on the Grand Strand: The Love, The Fazio and The Norman. To have a golf membership to the Barefoot Resort courses you have to be a homeowner with a membership attached to the property. Members can book tee-times up to seven days in advance and can bring up to three guests for a round of golf. Member's guests get a substantially reduce rate for a round of golf on four superb courses. 

The residential communities on the resort are varied in their makeup. Single family homes, golf villas, luxury villas, luxury homes, waterway communities and gated communities all exist on the resort. The resort encompasses nearly 2300 acres. There is a 142 slip marina at the North Tower which is just across the waterway from Barefoot Landing. Water sport rentals are available. Yacht club memberships and boat slips are for rent or sale. 

You may be considering relocating to the North Myrtle Beach area.
